Restoring the tropical rainforest in Kenya
By planting 100,000 native and threatened trees, this project will restore 100 Hectares of critically-degraded and biodiversity rich habitat. Tree planting activities and the promotion of alternative and profitable uses of the forest will also diversify and strengthen livelihoods.

The project focusses on three aims: forest restoration, securing communal ownership of the community forest, and agroforestry. These strategies will help ensure the long-term, sustainable use of the land by and promote better health and wellbeing among the people.
Restoring degraded land in Senegal
In total, 245 hectares of degraded land will be restored by this project, with the community choosing which species to plant. The trees will contribute to both climate change adaptation and mitigation by improving the soil and creating resistance to drought.
